We had 60 seconds to ask Gayle Donaghy, Supplier Relationship Manager, some quick-fire questions. Here’s what she had to say:
What part of the world do you call home? East Kilbride, a town just south of Glasgow and where the old Traveltek Headquarters were located.
What was the name of the last book you read? Celebrate by Pippa Middleton – it’s full of creative ideas for making festive occasions with friends and family special.
What is your favourite holiday destination? This is always such a hard question, especially at the moment, but it has to be Dubai for me. I love the blend of modern luxury with the Middle Eastern culture and the fact that you are pretty much-guaranteed sunshine no matter what time of the year you visit.
All-time favourite movie? I actually can’t pick one, so my top two are The Goonies and The Wizard of Oz.
Favourite type of food?Italian food is my favourite, and I love cooking my own recipes. Throughout lockdown, I have had loads of time to perfect my pasta making!
Favourite Easter Egg?Cadbury’s Flake – it is a classic!
You have been with the Traveltek family for over ten years, what projects have you enjoyed working on the most? As a long-standing member of Traveltek, the projects I have enjoyed the most have been migrating our suppliers onto the JIRA Service Desk. Last year, I got to work on the AWS migration project, which was an exciting and interesting project to be part of.
In your role as the Supplier Relationships Manager, what does a typical day look like? The majority of my day is spent liaising with suppliers, identifying any issues or updates to their API and assisting them in widening their distribution opportunities.
