Welcome to 2020!

Firstly, we would like to wish you a very Happy New Year from us all at Traveltek.

Reflecting on 2019, it was a very challenging year for the travel industry with the uncertainty of Brexit affecting the UK, Europe and having wider global implications and the sad demise of Thomas Cook. It was also a challenging year for us at Traveltek with a complete boardroom change. As a company we made some difficult decisions on our focus and changed our strategy to strive in becoming a product company. Whilst reflection is important, it’s also vital for us to be focused on our future journey so its onwards and upwards for us in 2020.

2020 will see us complete our AWS journey, a pivotal milestone for us as an organisation. It’s also the year that we will have a relentless focus on improving customer service. We have made some team changes to increase the size of our account management team this year, coupled with the investments in our service team. Following feedback last year, we also invested in a head of commercial to improve our supplier relationships and also review our content strategy. We will keep you informed as this work progresses throughout the year. We are finalising a revised product roadmap for 2020 which will be available in our February Tektalk.

As part of our drive for improving customer service we will be sending a customer survey in January and would appreciate your feedback. This will help us shape our communication tools and frequency of our communication with you as we progress through 2020.

In January we have ensured that all teams across the business are on hand to support our customer service team with a real focus on improving ticket resolution times, we know what a key period January is and therefore our main focus is system stability to ensure you, as our customers can service your clients.
