Elodie Pantak-Ripoll

Taking the hot seat this month is Elodie Pantak-Ripoll, Scrum Master here at Traveltek Ltd. Want to know more about her average work day and the last thing she googled? Then read on:

What part of the world do you call home?

I am originally From France (Paris) but I moved to Scotland almost 7 years ago and I don’t see myself living anywhere else. So I guess both?

What is your favourite holiday destination?

I love Skiing, so for me, anywhere where it is possible to do this sport. My family used to go to Chamonix Mont-Blanc in the Alps, so this resort is very memorably for me, which is why I would probably pick this place.

Name of the last book you read?

I decided to start reading books in English (I know, it was about time), so I started with The Four Agreements (Don Miguel Ruiz) and I am now rereading the full Harry Potter series. I find it to be the perfect amount of vocabulary learning vs reading without having to google a word every few sentences (e.g Lord of the Ring, or The Witcher).

All-time favourite movie?

I do particularly like psychological movies, so I would say Fight Club or Shutter Island. I also enjoy Fantasy a lot.

What’s the last thing you googled?

My last google search was about the fact that, in French, we use the same word for Apes and Monkeys! I was shocked to hear that it meant two different animal species in English.

E.g. In French the famous movie is called: Planet of the Monkeys

What does an average day at work look like for you?

My days are very different from one another. My work week is generally split this way:

  • Mondays: Reporting and meetings to improve current processes
  • Tuesdays: Backlog Refinement and preparing for planning / Retro / Review
  • Wednesday: Mainly focus on the V1 meetings
  • Thursday: same for the V2 meetings
  • Fridays: I am trying not to book anything so I can work on preparing the next week Miro board or any other upcoming activities / workshops
