In 2020 we successfully migrated all our Global customers to AWS to improve scalability, security and stability. To meet the ever-changing challenges of this decade, we’re upgrading our current technology and it is an exciting time to join us. Currently, we’re building a greenfield platform using technologies such as AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Python, Node.js, Docker, Elasticsearch, Kafka, CloudFront and CloudFormation. Headquarters in Glasgow’s Vibrant City Centre
We moved into the heart of Glasgow’s city center on Queen Street, Glasgow in 2020. We moved to help attract technology talent but also to have a better collaboration space in our office. It is a wonderful location, and you have all the shops, restaurants and cafes, right on your doorstep. Alternatively, you can continue working from the comfort of your own home or combine both! I joined Traveltek 2 years ago and it has been an amazing experience so far. I’ve been part of some incredible projects and picked up really great skills along the way. Everyone is really helpful and being in the role of a Systems/DevOps Engineer has exposed me to technology and processes I was not familiar with in the past (coming from a more traditional Sysadmin role). I’m always learning new skills at Traveltek and I’m enjoying being part of such a hardworking and great team.
I have had an amazing first few months working at Traveltek, helped of course by the super friendly and helpful people here. The collaboration is brilliant; from product workstreams, idea workshops (innovative ideas collected across all departments) and listening to feedback from customers. The ‘Vision’ is clear here and working on making that a reality makes it an exciting place to be.
Since joining Traveltek, I’ve not stopped challenging myself. I’ve had the opportunity to work on a number of projects solving complex problems which in turn promotes my personal growth and development. The people here are really helpful and supportive and work together as a team to provide innovative solutions for our customers. We’re going through a major transformation of our product range and I’m excited to be a part of this evolution.

We work flexibly
At Traveltek we are a remote first business, setting all our team members up with the equipment and tools they need to work from home. We work hard to create a a flexible and virtual team culture and meet our team members in person as much as possible.
Those little extras
This year on Valentine’s Day, we surprised our team with a poem and sweets sent to their homes. On the hottest day in the UK this year we gave free vouchers for Ice cream. When we won a Globe award the whole company got recognition and an early finish. We regularly use Perkbox to celebrate successes and say thank you to our team members
Training and development
We drive a learning culture at Traveltek. All employees get a free Udemy membership to use for training of their choice. We champion learning through webinars and staff training and mentoring. All team members have OKR’s.
Work life balance
We have trained our managers on mental health awareness so they can best support their team members. We offer flexible working to all our staff and work hard to help our staff achieve a good work / life balance. In April 2022 we introduced a 2pm Friday finish following employee feedback
We operate a flexible annual leave policy so team members can take annual leave when they want throughout the year. This flexible approach means staff can take holiday outside of bank holiday periods if they wish to and travel at off peak times. This flexible policy is a result of staff feedback and has been well received
